Lindsay Lam of Harrisonburg, VA is a local teacher and performer in the Shenandoah Valley. She has a Bachelors of Music in Double Bass Performance from the University of Maryland where she studied with Ali Yazdanfar (Principal, Montreal Symphony) and Robert Oppelt (Principal, National Symphony). She has served as section bass for the Fort Collins Symphony, the Cheyenne Symphony, and as the Double Bass Instructor at Howard Community College in Columbia, MD. Currently, she serves as Assistant Principal Bass of the Waynesboro Symphony Orchestra. In addition to performing, Lindsay enjoys playing with local folk bands, teaching private lessons and Musikgarten classes for the EMU Preparatory Music Program, and working in theatrical costuming for Wolf Trap Opera, Livermore Shakespeare Festival, and James Madison University.
